E-mark..

I've just received a set of rear lights off eBay which were supposedly e-marked and legal but as the box says 'not e-marked' I'm not so sure.. (have contacted seller about this and they say everything's fine). So anyone know what the difference is and why you aren't supposed to use un'e'marked lights on the road?

Yeah E-marked lexus lights just have the reflectors in the middle of the red circles like mine. Tbh you can just get the un e-marked ones and add a reflector somewhere stuck on the car for MOT!

Hmm.. Cheers for the info, I've just had another look at the lights and it seems they do have reflectors in the middle of the red so thats ok. Also found an english (phew) instruction sheet in the box which says they should pass MOT with orange indicator bulbs installed. Hopefully will fit them this weekend!

and that would be illegal :P

No it wouldn't!

You just need to have 2 reflectors on the rear of your car so far up, most maufacturers just put them in the light cluster so it looks 'cleaner'!

As ryan said! Nothing illegal about having stuck on reflectors! The laws on rear lights are pretty loose tbh! Hence why you get sooo many chavs being creative :P But yeah just looks neater with them in the lights but you can always put them on number plate ends or something like that to make it look tidier if you needed them!
