What Oil For A Corolla 1.4 T3

As title I am looking at changing the oil/filter in my parnters car. I was going to use 5w30, but have been adviced that I need 10w40.

Now I am confussed, what should I be using for uk weather conditions.

I used 10W40 in my 05 1.6 l

here the mecanic puts in the oil that i brought along for my 1e service now i do it my self
