Changing File Formats

How doo.

Jus purchased napster and was disapointed to find the downloads cant be written to cd as they are of another file format

Does anyone know of a preferably free program i can nick/borrow/download from somewhere to change these ? something like nero

what format are the files in.......and what do you want to convert them to?

There's a freeware bit of kit called Cdex ( I think ) that will convert any format to MP3. It's only a small download too.

Do a google search for 'WMA Ripping '. There are forum threads full of info .

A few of them mention that CDex will do this anyway.

No problem.

Just in case anyone thinks that this thread is bordering on the 'dodgy', there are legitimate reasons for doing this.

http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=118334 is a prime example of this.

Limewire is gone crap , bearshare is pants and emule is weird .

Allofmp3 is ok but lacks a lot of music.....napster's just been deleted , thats crap its like renting music .

Any suggestions now people....

have you ever thought of Kidnapping a Busker?

You could keep them locked in a cupboard and get them when you want some free music.

Anyone who thinks that 10p an hour for sitting in the rain with a guitar is time well spent would probably jump at the chance of 3 squares a day and a cupboard.
