Rear Axle Lsd Or Not?

Hi guys hope all are hanging ok, does anyone know how i can find out if my hilux has a limited slip differential or not, i'm not that technical so i'm stuck on what type of oil i should add or renew in my rear axle, the model i am driving is a 4wd 98' 5L LN 167 type hilux. Thanks in advance always been a lot of help, HILUX forever.

Several ways to find what you have,

1/ Look at this site and compare the code on the vin plate. http://www.toysport.com/webpages/Techinfo/...tifications.htm

2/ There maybe a sticker on the diff casing.

3/ lift the rear off the ground, turn one of the wheels and if the other wheel goes in the same direction it is LSD, if it goes the other way it is a normal diff.
