What is the widest tyre you could fit on a 5.5" wide alloy wheel?

You need to be a little more specific.. what car are the rims for and what profile are you looking at.. the profile of the tyre is very important as to what the widest tyre will be......

For 195/50x15, 5.5J to 7J is recommended.. whereas with a 195/45x15, 6.5J to 8J is recommended.

I was looking at getting some 195/50s for my T-Sport wheels Davy as they're 5.5" wide!

Naturally, I had Toyo T1-S on my last alloys so it'll be T1-R this time!

if you look on the Toyo web site it does list tyre sizes and what size rim widths the tyre will fit
