Carina E High Idle Tick Over.. Help Please

bought a 92 carina e 1.6 as a cheap 2nd car at xmas, car was very well serviced and maintained. there is only 219,000 miles on her so she is only being run in

my prob is that the car was parked up for 2 to 3 yrs before i got her.. it was running perfect when it was put out of use and when i got it 2 to 3yrs later it is ticking over just under 2k revs when you start it from cold it will idle around the 1k mark and as it gets hot and the cold start seems to come off it idles just under 2k, it will stay at this the whole time and sometimes break into an eratic hunt.. dropping from the 2k mark down to 800 or so and back up and so on and so on.. it then could go back and stay at idle at 2k..

i have checked fo vacum leaks and have tried a different throttle body with different sensors but its exact same.. i did move the throttle position sensor fully in both direction when car running and it did not effect rev at all there is no faul;t light on dash.. ne one help me.. pleeeassseeeeeeeeeeeee
