I do try sometimes but if you don't look you don't find out

Waaaay back in February I posted t list of this years meets, funnily enough it's in the "National & General Meets" section under "2007 Meets" :P HERE

If you scroll down the details for TOTB are there with a couple of others. ;)

There are no clubstands available so it's a £20 each at the gate jobby, like I have said before the effort put in by the competitors is amazing but I personally don't think it's worth the fee for the facilities (especially the over priced catering vans) £80.00 for four people in a car and yes they do check your boot.

Hell we are having three days of fun with a shed load of entertainment for only £15 each!!! ;)

Your not wrong there Mo! what a day, still amazing though and wouldn't have missed it for the world! Still JAE will be awesome, the V6 will be there this time for something completely different!

I went to it last year.. was OK.. but not worth the £20 AND the petrol money... I would only do it again if I was in the area, but I certainly wouldn't make a point of travelling that distance just for TOTB again.

I'm still paying the overdraft I racked up from the burgers last year !

It wouldn't be so bad but I only bought one !!!!!!!

Rip off - and a bit samey if you ask me. I think Santa Pod is boring though. I suppose if you or your mates are actually racing then there's some interest, but if not then as far as I'm concerned it's all seen in 30 minutes.

i THINK that two of the guys i know are meant to be racing at it! so yeah makes it more interesting for me :)

I think in all honesty most people are not taht into tuning an d performance and more into shows etc which is why its fairly lo profile (with a few exceptions of course ;))

I really want to go, but seem to miss it every year!

yeah off to pod this weekend (if the weather holds  ) bit of a shakedown really.

not had time to get to the strip and do any testing yet.

should get mid to low 12's and with any luck an 11 sec run (well i can but hope)

Now then, did you manage to get to the pod?

Was it to test your car?

If so, what time did you get?

yeah went to pod, got in 4 runs (didn't take extra cash but they opened it up to unlimited runs for £10 later in the day :( )

bit disappointed TBH. the track was cold for my runs, tards took ages to move hence nice hot engine and there was a nice strong wind blowing straight down the strip.

best of the day was 13.14 @117.81mph :( :crybaby:

still there is launch/traction control to come and the rear end needs massive stiffening as it squatted badly on launch. but the potential is there.

60ft time was 2.24 so over a second to be lost there (better traction off the line will help.)

gear dependant boost will be added too as there is massive wheelspin in second.

in all not a bad shakedown and its given me an idea of the areas that still need attention.roll on TOTB
