I have a 1996 avalon xls

question: when you put your gear in neutral (N), are you able to pull your key out? (my guess is no...)

so what if you are able to pull the key out? is it bad? (i am guess it is bad...) ... and what would be the problem that you can pull out the key when you put the gear in neutral?

the engine is shut off and the gear shift is in neutral and i was able to pull the car key out
