Trim?

Along the bottom edge of my car boot (between the tail lights), I have some rust and peeling paint work.

It’s not overly bad, but it is visible.

A few years ago I got a few quotes on getting it repaired, but we are talking silly money!

Two years later and the situation has not worsened, so all I want to do is mask the problem area.

I thought perhaps some black trim that matches the existing trim would do the trick!

I’m not after perfection (the car is far from it), I just want to hide the rusty area.

Carbon Fibre strips might look cool “might”.

The problem area is along the bottom lip of the boot, so it would be useful if I could fold the material up and under the boot.

Any low cost solutions will be gratefully received.
