Insurance Question

Hey all got a bit of a problem getting a quote on insurance for a supra as its a rare import im looking at getting.

2.0l GT Twin Turbo type R

I have got a nice low quote on a 3 litre TT but no1 seems to have this car on record as so few were imported.

Any suggestions on who to go to for insurance?

there were very few imported along with a 2.5l version as well.

Its not a Twin turbo R, and its not a limited edition :) - Although its a rare car!

It is a 2.0 TT, from the digi dash it looks like it may be limited (Although there is no TEMS suspension)

Tesco, Adrian Flux, and direct line will insure it :)

Odd. I also have a Narrow body, 2.0TT supra in black..

Your reg is F727 UJB (well it is in half the pictures........) Mine was F900 UJB

The Twin turbo sticker by the glove box looks a bit gash! The "R" badges have been stuck on.

ok thanks ill get on to them and see what i can come up with. didnt figure they'd been stuck on lol after half of what id read elsewhere. The reg is actually the F727 UJB but its coming with the private plate included in the sale.

If i get it ill b having that sticker off the dash lol and most of the others.

O any idea what the little red button by the the side of the gear stick is for whilst i think about it. Its labled in japanese lol

As for the insurance question, you'll need to try a decent specialist. I use A-Plan for my car :)

If you're ringing round, check that they can actually insure the car before bothering to give them all your details... I had a few so called 'specialists' tell me my car didn't actually exist (It's a genuine 2.5TT - R and certainly does exist:P). I think Charlie has had similar problems with his 2.0TT...

I would avoid A plan after hearing some horror stories of someone with a rare import that recently tried to claim from them!!!!

yeh i keep gettin that problem with 'specialists'

"its not on the system therefore we cant insure it"

flux have quoted me its ok i guess lol. Now just gotta give them a ring and tell them ill have the car.
