Noel had quite a tie in with Austin Rover/MG cars.

I saw him years ago at the Peterborough Showground where he was "promoting" MG's.

The thing that stuck in my mind was just how short he was

So funny, the ‘Magic’ of Metro... Comes with 5 doors!!

Totally restyled interiors “Improved ventilation” Yeah, you can wind the window down! I suppose that was all they could come up with that was positive about the Metro

The Metro was, in its time, quite a forward thinking design.

It certainly helped boost Austin Rovers market share and provided thousands of British jobs.

I have owned three Metros ( A City, a Quest and a Rio) and found them excellent cars at the time.

It is a credit to modern manufacturers that things have moved on a pace since Metro. Maybe if the British car industry had kept up we would still have a car industry

Retro adds are so cool, we had all 3 of those cars in one form or another when i was a kid :help: did i really just confess to that..... :crybaby:

Dont Austin Rover still hold the record for most stoppages/walk outs in british trade union history? No wonder the volume british car industry is dead.
