Camry Hood Release Not Working

Hello all - this is my first post.

Anyway, I tried to open the hood of my '95 Camry and the hood release does not seem to work. The release also seems to prevent the hood from being opened manually. Does anyone know any way to override the hood release or know of where the hood release latch is located?
