Which model Spitfire? My very first fun car was a 1966 Spitfire 4 Mk II and I still sort of miss it (it WAS very second-hand at the time I bought it, I hasten to add :D )

he bought it and put it together had it running for about a year!! now hes tyaken it to bits to spray it red but hasnt had chance to put it back together or spray the rest of it !!

Newer then my one was. They are great fun and you feel you are going fast even when you aren't (which is good, as they don't go fast :) )

Hope he gets it on the road again in time for next summer (if we ever have one again!)

Good analogy there, though the M Coupe always looks a bit unbalanced to me

There were a few conversions with the GT6 running gear on the Spits body :)

I had to get a new rubber for my Spits hardtop and the right one was from an E-Type Jag - so I nearly had a E-Type ;)

The original M coupe looked like a demented hatchback, the current shape one is waaaaaaaaay better ;) especially in race form! -apart from its "special needs" face. I'd have one! Not quite as common/chiche'd as the M3.
