Avensis Recalls 2003-2008 Models?

Hi,

What recalls or faults have toyota accepted under their own liability, and which of these can owners approach Toyota in order to get the necessary work done?

I have had the headlamps done, and ECU update at 30K.

I have read something about a steering column failure- does anyone have any more information?

Im more interested in what specifically affects my 55 reg, 2.2 T3-X, but a general discussion may help the wider community....

Regarding post above,could you please give us definitive answer about issue above.Maybe we should call local Toyota dealer to check with them.

ECU update is it free to get done??? Not sure if mine has been done because the last service done on my car by Toyota was in January 2008 as the service book shows at 59,000 miles. Cars done about 67,700miles now so might have to ask Toyota about this???

Try VOSA website, i used it when buying my avensis to make sure all recalls had been carried out.
