Auris Trixenon Problems

My car is an Auris 1.6 vvt-i

I have fitted on it 3 HID kits

The kits are 35w

Inom= 3.2 A

Imax= 8A

Vin= 9-32V

Vnon=13.2V

Here are the problems that i confrunted:

- the fog lights tend to blow an 15A fuse for them ==> solution bigger fuse 20 A or 25 A

- the low beam must be brought up because it is to low

and know my biggest problem

the high beam witch when turned on makes my BC to turn off for 1 second like when you start the engine

i think the cause of this problem is the high start current needed to start the xenon

I remembet that : The POWER = CURENT x Tension

=> for the low beam the power needed = 8x13.2vx2=211.2W

=> for the high beam also 211.2w

in total = 422.4w

witch i thing makes an power fluctuation(gap) that affects my BC optitron dashboard.

What should i do ?

P.S. The night is day with all the 3 hid kits on :driving:

You could try giving Gill Keene (Gill's a bloke and pronouced Gill as in fish) a call at Quicksilver Automotive 0121 772 7000 (www.satnavshop.com).

He fitted a couple of HID's to my T180 last weekend. Haven't had any problems at all.

Good luck! :thumbsup:

When I installed HID's on my, the manufacturer recommended I upgrade the fuse to a 20A.

I have HIDs on my low beams and fog lights. The fog light fuse went out a couple of times when I switched them on and allready had low beams on, then I upgraded the fuse and everything works fine. That's all I know about it...

Best regards, Alex
