Slight Vibration Noise At Low Revs On Gen7 T-sport

Hi, I have recently made the step up from a pre face-lift 140bhp Celica to a 53reg 190bhp T-Sport.

I love the car however I have a noticed a slight vibration noise when travelling at low revs (i.e. doing 30mph in 4th).

The noise is intermittent and it's hard to tell where it's coming from. Also, as soon as I accelerate it disappears!

I just wondered if it's anything to do with the sportier nature of this car compared to the 140bhp?

(i.e. is it to do with the exhaust or air filter?) I just know the lesser powered model didn't make this noise.

It's definitely not a knocking or grinding noise as I have noticed some people have reported on here.

Oh and the car only has 50k on the clock and has just been MOT'd and serviced by the garage I bought it from with all previous servicing done by Toyota.

Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks.

could be the heatshield on the manifold, mine rattles at about 2.5k revs. The annoying thing is it sounds like the engine is buggered

Funnily enough I did have to pull a piece of the heat shield off my old Celica.

It was blowing in the wind when the car was parked up making an awful squeaking noise!

I don't think it is the heat shield however I will have a check at the weekend.

Thanks for your response.

I could be wrong though I think it's coming from the front part of the car. Maybe the air filter?

Convinced it has something to do with airflow!
