Wheel Sizes

Hi all again!

My wife's car has tatty steel wheels and we want to get some alloys fitted. The steels are 6 1/2 J 16 with ET45 and 205/55 R16 tyres. The tyres are fine so want to get wheels that will take these tyres if possible. I have only found 6J 16 or 7J 16 wheels available - would the 7J 16's be OK???

Original alloys are 6,5" wide. If you can find those somewhere, they are better than the cheap alloys on the market. 7" wide in ok for your car.

i put 7j alloys on my car with the standard tyre, they fit fine, look good and its amazing that little extra width makes the handling much much better. i was lucky i bought the alloys a little scratched for 40 quid and re conditioned them myself. there are lots of alloys on flea bay etc and the toyota ones dont seem to fetch much money.
