Hi Guys

Got a 2004 D4-D, just had a service and will not start when hot but no prob when cold. So I am snookered if I stall etc.

I have the car under warranty so should be OK but does anyone had this happen and know the cause?

cheers

To daws.

Too many variants that can cause starting ( from st/motor to engine sensor? ) trouble. You say car has just been serviced & is under warranty, i would bring it back to garage.

Regards, Beagh.

hi mate

deliver your car in order to rectify it under warranty.

it looks like due to heating some el contacts got loosen.

have starter solenoid contacts inspected first.

cheers/Igor

No probs with the starter motor as the engine tries to start but wont 'kick-in'

will be going to dealer but would like to know if anyone had this and had it diagnosed so that I don't get "computer says no!"

cheers

Cheers Igor m8 - is the SCV control circuit linked to the glow plug circuit as I am getting glow plug circuit A error as well?

If it is would make sense

hi

you have to check both SCV and glow plugs circuits to exclude each link in this issue chain.

It is good practice. Good luck
