Passenger Airbag De-activation

My wife is just about to have our second baby and prior to the Avensis, she had a mk3 golf. The golf had no passenger airbag so the baby carrier went on the front seat so she would like to do the same in the avensis. Can anyone advise on how to de-activate the passenger airbag? I know on some modern cars they have a key switch in the passenger door way. Any ideas?

How old is the car Ian ? if its only two or four years old there are air bags all over the front seats not just the one in front but curtain and windscreen as well. whichever its going to be a dealer job at least .
