Hmmm not as easy but i'll give it a try.

These led-lights became with a day light module. This module has 5 wires.

2 wires for both the led-lights(just plug them in, before putting bumper back)

1 wire +(connect with a little ring connector to the plus of battery)

1 wire - ( connect to chassis or(as i did)with a little ring connector to the minus of battery)

This was the simple part, but two wires remaining.

1 wire : Connect to signal input from ignition. You need to search this wire in the "safety fuse box" under the bonnet. It has a grey collor. I soldered it and taped it.

1 wire: Connect to the signal input from head light low beam. I soldered it into a dark green wire that came out my left parking light.

Then take of the front bumper. It's very easy and speaks for it self. Give it a try!

Screw the led-light with two parker-screws somewhere in the bumpergrille. Plug them in the two remaining wires that came out the module.

Put everything back in place. And...................

OF YOU GO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It took me about 2,5 hours work and i got no technical background.

I havn't got any pictures, i'm sorry.

Good luck and post your pics. Greetzzzz from the Nederlands,

Brian

Hi,

New to the forum, never realised how many mods were already out there for the iQ.

I'm at a white tax disc holder and private plate so far (the plate might make you laugh, pics to follow)

Thank you Ruud.

liking your iQ, some really nice touches on there. Plates were only £450, a really good price i thought?

My ambient led-light driverside and footlight passenger side. Lights turn on by opening car with the key or by opening a door. Driver doesn't look into the leds but dashboard lights up so sweet!

And a little extra storage compartment. It's build in the panel next to the knee-airbag.

Thank you too, Big Dan, keep in tough, more is coming. All inspired by Insane Brian.

Price for the plates is not bad, it's a shame we don't have the possibility for personalized license plates in Holland.

I like that a lot too, more details please!

Cost, Where, Time Taken etc

Is it actual chrome (must add a bit of weight!?!) or just a chrome-effect paint finish?

Could do with some chrome alloys on it too.....
