New Gearbox 1.8vvti

Afternoon everyone

hoping someone can help , have been quoted £2400 plus for a new gearbox (Gearbox itself being £1600 plus Vat) by toyota dealer in hereford for my 2002 Avensis 1.8 vvti .

Can anyone recommend or is aware of any good garages in hereford that can possible contact that is likely to carryout this type of work ?.

and also has anybody recently used any companies that offer reconditioned gearboxes tha they could recommend.

Don't know them myself but they will fit it for you same day so at least you could test drive the car before you pay them, maybe worth a phone call mate.

EDIT:-There is a forum member called Moonstone Mart from the Stoke area hopefully he might give you some help or advice about my link.
