Right, this might be hard to explain and even harder to understand, but here it goes anyways-

1. Take of the plastics levers for your heat and direction of the heater controls. These will slip of dead easy but don't lose them.

2. Take the panel around them off - it'll take a flat edge screwdriver but should be easy enough also. You will have to disconnect the plug on the back of the unit to take it out of the way.

3. You now have to remove the whole centre surround (the black trim with the vents in it. Unscrew the screws that were hidden behind the heater control panel, prise the trim off at the bottom edge then push it up to allow it to unhook from the dashboard.

4. Disconnect the three connectors for the heated rear window, the hazards and of course the 'Girly' button. Then you can set the trim out of the road.

5. The stereo will be held in with a bracket either side. Remove the four screws that hold the brackets to the dash. Pull the stereo out and disconnect it.

6. You should now have a stereo attached to two brackets. they are sided so don't mix them up.

7. Swap these to your new stereo - best to secure it with shortened bolts to avoid wrecking the internals of the new stereo.

8. Rebuild in reverse order, realise you have forgotten to connect the stereo, strip it down again.

9. Check stereo is working before putting everything back together again.

10. Lose an important bolt and search for it for a while.

11. Finish rebuilding the dash and enjoy your DIY project that took all weekend to complete.

Not sure how this will be to follow but go for it anyway, it should be easy enough: Any monkey can dismantle something - it takes a bit more brainpower to put it back together
