Keyless Entry Question

Just been reading the manual and it says if the Battery in the keyfob dies, you can open the door using the small key in the fob and start the car by holding the Toyota emblem on the key fob on the start/stop button. This will start the car?????? One question though, my keyfob aint got a toyota emblem on it?

hi mate

-yes you can open/lock the car by using this key -- it works + lock gloves box;

-even you ve lost an emblem -- it must to start, anyway -- cos i deem the emblem is only side check point to turn it in right position. Cheers/Igor

Its the side opposite the buttons.

It will start the car. Better to change the Battery periodically;

Sure i read somwhere you get low Battery warning in display which should give you time

to change Battery, i normally swap key with spare every 6 months & not had any probs.

although only had car with keyless entry for 2 months.
