newest addition.....I dont have pictures, however, i have just purchased a new head unit, ive ordered a sony xav-70bt oh and some parking sensors turned up in the post for me today

Guys, is anyone out there a ice wizard and able to tell me what I need for sticking the above h/u into my 52 plate t-sport with built in sat nav. Not too worried about removing it. But just want to know what facia? And wring I'll need. Also eBay have a stalk adapter for Sony h/u for like £5 I thought they were more expensive?!

Just had to speak to the place I got it from as they're out of stock. They offered me a JVC KW-AVX840 as a replacement for the same price.

I'm not even sure what I want tbh!

I assume I need the fascia?

I was looking at getting the adapter for my steering wheel controls, however I'll be quite happy to touch the screen instead.

It should arrive tomorrow so hopefully I'll be able to sort out if I need something to wire it up to the old fittings. If that makes sense? I can't find any information on what the back of it looks like in terms of connections.

next thing on the list is......

Earth the parking brake cable so videos can play whilst on the move (for guests obviously)

Fit the Mic for the bluetooth operation.

Fit the optional cable via usb for audio/video from the iPhone.

put a picture on the background

At some point i think ill get a reversing camera for it! (well, i wouldnt want a function sat there collecting dust would i?!)

One thing i didnt mention, was that i used the cage from my satnav unit. instead of the one that came with the stereo, the one thats screwed into the sat nav fit perfectly and made fitting it a little easier. it was a bit of a bugger to put the surround and fan outlets back in, and theres a nice little gap above the unit as well. oh and the usb input is coming out through the gap where the sides of my cubby hole front should be, i think im just going to leave it like that, or maybe fabricate something to sit around it so it looks more oem.
