I don't know if it's accurate, but I've heard that the older 16" wheels are somewhat sought after. I do have a set I wouldn't mind selling if anyone is interested. They have the original Michelin tires on them with roughly half (probably more actually) of the tread left.

They are popular because you can get a wider selection of tyres to fit them for off-roading ;-)
