Urgent Help Needed!

So looks like my radiator has suddenly started to disintegrate. Was driving yesterday back from the shop that was less than 2 miles away and the temperature suddenly shot up so I pulled over, popped the bonnet and there was no coolant in the expansion bottle, took the lid off and loads of coolant came rushing back in but then quickly drained away down to the minimum mark.

I thought it was an air lock so today tried to burp the system like I had done in the past, but this time it appears the radiator has gone. The left hand side of the radiator is saturated in coolant and the slightest touch on the front of the radiator and the fins just crumble.

Will that radweld stuff be OK for a temporary fix or am I getting the bus to work tomorrow?

Really need help ASAP.

This is a common issue with the Gen 7. Sadly you need a new radiator asap. Radweld will not work as your rad is too far gone.

will i be able to do the radiator myself or will i need to get a mechanics to do it. found a radiator for £65 which seems reasonable to me.

You should be able to do it if you've replaced a rad before, if look try searching for a guide.

never changed a radiator before but im pretty good at these types of things. just looked at the front of the car and it looks like it'll be easy enough to get the bumper off then i dont imagine it'll be too difficult to undo some hoses and bolts then put it back together.
