Heres a good one for ye...my 00 corolla 1.4vvti the abs pump will not shut off even with the key out of the ignition..i have to disconnect the Battery in order to shut it down. Any ideas what the problem is? if i pull the abs fuse that shuts it down okay..im not sure where the relay for the pump is or if there is one at all..i pulled all the relays one by one but that had no effect on the pump..im totally perplexed..i thought id throw it out there see if anybody has any ideas. Thanks in advance

I would assume the abs pump is controlled by the abs ecu, and would be separate to everything else

Hi..is that electronic box attached to the pump the ecu? Could I assume that there is a fault in that ecu causing the pump to run constantly? What do you think?

It is a possibliity, have you any faults on the dash, or have the ecu read.

abs light is on the dash and no i havent had the ecu read yet..mechanic reckons she needs new abs pump..i just find that strange because it is for all intents and purposes working..although in saying that it is a little noisier than usual..thanks for taking the time out to reply by the way :)
