does any one with motorsport background or just anyone who knows where to get perspex windows made etc or carbon fiber 1/4 pannels?? :wacko:

contact a, erm what i can only describe as a race homologation company.

ie the chaps who prep cars for the track etc...

where would make them up for me and i suppose they would need panels as a base? how much for 1/4 panels?

thanks. how much do normal windows weigh? and how much do perspex ones weight?

perspex is approx 60% lighter than glass

they dont say the weight or anything on the plastics4performance website. i sent them an e-mail. is the other one... polycarbonate? it is 60% lighter, but roughly how much do your windows weight?

polycarbonate is an option but i believe it to be more expensive

perspex is ya best bet.

i would have thought the glass could total upto about 10kg on the car!

If the windows are going to get stones'n'stuff rattled against them (rallying, for example) then the polycarb would probably be petter - better impact resistance.

Are you allowed plastic windscreens on the road?
