RAV 4 d4d 2003 speedo sensor

Hi

The speedo drive sensor on my Rav 4 4d4 2003 has stopped working. I have taken it off and thoroughly cleaned and inspected it including the electrical connections. As a result the engine management light comes on after approx 2300 rpm which leads to an array of other problems. I have been unable to locate an after market part or a second hand sensor. The replacement part from Toyota is an astonishing £335.94. Any ideas where I could locate one. eBay and google search have every sensor known apart from this one.
