Does anyone know what the purpose of the rubber O-ring is ?

And could over tightening just destroy it anyway !

Just had a call with my local dealer. They will change only the hub bolts but they are waiting for the official "GO" and documentation from Toyota's side. And after that...I WILL HAVE MY CAR...🥳

Just undo the bolts, put some thread lock on them and tighten them up to the spec, job done😂👌🔩⚡️

I believe that it simply stops the washer falling off. When tightened the pressure should be on the tapered washer and not the O-ring. I think ... 😉
