Any idea what these are on my front and rear bumpers? Not too fussed by them as presume just a poor repair from old. Unless anyone else has had similar and it is a known issue?

They are though the depth of the panel so not the sort of gel crazing you can get on some fiber glass.  Some of them look like stress cracks but other places of looks too zagged to be pure stress.  My overall reaction is they look like accident damage, but I am not sure, but my main concern is that some of the cracks appear to have 'travelled' and will probably continue to do so without some remedial work.

I tend to agree.

I assume the HPI report was 'clear'.

Looks like a replacement bumper at some point, if the cracks travel or open, maybe?

Do you know what sort of remedial work could be done?

I mean I am game to try anything, I have some industrial strength bonding glue which you apply, then spray, and when you spray it sets like concrete. Any good?

Yes, I ran a private V check search and all was clear, probably minor shunt into a wall or something and just left.

These look like stress cracks but you may also have some air pockets that can form in fibreglass  . Fibreglass or plastic there are fillers on the market to repair these cracks but like all things it will take time and effort and the right tools to sand down to get the finish you want. You will also need to prime and spray.

If you haven't done anything like this before I would suggest you take a look at a number of videos available on YouTube to get a idea of whats involved for the repair.

Hope this helps.

It's not accident damage, can you post a pic of the car ?

A closer look someone has altered the body work / put arches on it or tried to smooth it - you can see the filler and instead of it being a sharp line it has been smoothed with filler what has had water behind it and blown the join and paint - rear - the corner covers have been blended again water has got in and blown the paint

with the front, you will need to flat it back and dig out the filler, repair correctly and repaint

matching that paint is going to be a mare unless you have the code for it

Pm me the VIN and i can look up the details of the factory spec

Arches? Didn't even know you could get them... these are both on the nearside. I can post a pic of the car but you can't see it at all, will it still help?

Luckily I have a specialist bodyshop as a neighbour so paint matching won't be an issue, he can do anything and has already re sprayed a previous car. I just didn't want to pester him unless I had to 😞
