Cars pedestrian warning

Just wondering what the pedestrian warning sound is like, as I have a slow speed noise that sounds like an old fashioned gearbox whining noise. Not what I was expecting.

Start the vehicle, open the drivers window, put it in EV mode so the engine isn't running & select reverse - you will then get the UFO chorus. 

The pedestrian acoustic warning sound is louder in reverse.

Yes your right. I did that but it only sounds when moving, and sounded the same forward or reverse. I’m sure the sound Toyota selected has done them no favours, people will be thinking they sound clapped out. Reminds me of the old Bedford coaches climbing a hill.
