Toyota Avensis T180 cd/sat nav problem

I’ve just joined, so sorry if this is incorrect... but have just got a secondhand Toyota Avensis T180, the seller fitted a new Battery for us, and now the sat nav won’t work ...  the screen has a message . refer to dealer ... also the screen is in the down position and I don’t know how to reset it.  I have just ordered an owners manual, but there are no discs or anything or an SD card, can anyone help please?  Where can I get one?  Thankyou for reading x
