Toyota Avensis T25 2006 Bluetooth adapter install problem

Hi,

 

Im trying to install a bluetooth adapter in the cd changer slot, I have installed the adapter in the 6+6 slot and the LED indicator is flashing red, I find the adapter on my phone and can connect to it so it is powered on. But when i press the DISC button on the radio to switch to CD nothing is happening. Im not sure if it is the adapter that is not recognized or if its problem with the car stereo unit. Nothing was connected to the 6+6 slot before install so I wonder if the DISC button should make a change even if nothing in the 6+6 slot is recognized. Maybe its the button thats not working? AM/FM buttons is working.
