Hello everyone,

I've just joined and will probably be looking for lots of help in the future.

I own a HiAce Hilton campervan.

Bought it 40 years ago and had lots of fun with our kids.

It's been on blocks for the last 20 years and I have just retired so am thinking about getting it back on the road again as a project.

I'm reasonanly proficient with the mechanical side. Being so old means that there is no complicated electronics.

One thing that worries me is where I will be able to source parts so any tips on this would be appreciated.

The engine should be fine as it's only done about 50k miles.

Not so sure about things like brakes and suspension though.

Rubber bushes will be shot for sure.

looking forward to talking to you all.

Hi Adrian

Welcome to our forum.

Wow, this is amazing, keeping this Hiace all these years.....

The first thing came up in my mind, it to try and search for any part on line, could be eBay, then ask direct few part sellers, they may guide where and how you will find your car parts, as some of these sellers may travel to Japan to buy their parts, to be shifted into the UK, some just on line....

Also any spare and repairs Hiace sellers on line....

Hope you succeed on your project and happy retirement.
