Internal Lights

Can anyone please tell me if there should be a bulb(illumination) in the ashtray area and I have a light on the drivers side electric window switch but no light in the central locking and window loch switch on the drivers door side. Should these be illuminated. I was wondering if the bulbs had just blown and if so are they difficult to replace?

My previous car a corolla had illumination in the ashtray but maybe this has been done away with.

any answers much appreciated.

err, what model Avensis are we talking about ?

If it's the new Avensis (03 onwards) then yes, my car has illumination in the ashtray, and small dim lights on the Power Window switches and the power lock switch. They only light that seems to have been overlooked is the one of the electric power mirrors which has none. When I fold the mirros in when parking, at night it's a little difficult to locate the switch.
