The one at Donnington on the 4th was a 98db limit wasn't it  and a few of them had the aussie fitted and were ok

If i remember rightly they said the db limit is tested 1m away from the rear of the car at 4000rpm but if anyone is really unsure then they can turn up at any Easytrack event and have it measured for peace of mind

Just dug up the info.

Location: Bruntingthorpe, Leicestershire (M1 J21).

Length: 2.5 miles

Noise limit: 100db measured 1mtr from exhaust

Donny is 105db or so it's say's on here anyway.

If the Worst comes to the worst, I'll have to buy some Exhaust Wadding.

http://www.bookatrack.com/-pV?5 , it was a bookatrack event Stu and it says 98db on their site but i noticed it say's drive-by after 98 now so

Damn... Toyotas only?

Seeing as it's you Dale then your fine to come out on track mate, same goes to Ryan btw ;)

can i register and then pay ken at the northern meet?

Oooo i suppose so :P

It won't be laid out TOTB stylee cramped up in one corner, it will cover over 3 miles of the airfield which will be coned out for handling but will have a straight at some point like all tracks do

For those that want to cover their car with specialist track day insurance then try Competion Car Insurance on 0115 941 5255 but for this type of event i won't be bothering as it is the safest track day event you can ever go on

Here's a quote from the Easytrack site regarding airfield days-

The easyTRACK airfield day has come a long way since featured on BBC TopGear in 1999. They utilise the open tarmac available at airfields to mark out circuits much like at proper tracks.

Although less glamorous than tracks, as with trackdays ARDS instructors, marshals and medics, oversee all airfield days. The team members at any particular event will be professionally accredited and have the skills & experience to ensure the days run smoothly and safely for all.

The circuits are laid out in a way to minimise the hazards on run-off points and to accommodate the broadest range of cars possible. Most days run an open pitlane structure , but you should check the event detail boxes to be sure.

We understand that guests have different levels of driving experience and want everyone to feel comfortable on our days. If you’re experienced and stick to the rules, we wont nanny you. Equally if you are new to this type of thing, we’ll do our best to ensure you are looked after and enjoy the experience. The days are structured around different levels of experience and skills, the aim being that those new to one of these days won’t feel intimidated or pressured by the more experienced. Equally we want those who feel they are among the more experienced to not feel that they are being nannied or obstructed by other guests or ourselves.

Airfield day offer an excellent, fun and safe opportunity for learning, developing and fine-tuning driving skills with a vastly reduced risk of a serious accident following a serious error.

Hope that answers some of your questions

Well the Ring trip is payment in full and as your going NSF the max it will be is £240 for the 5 nights if that help's, their is a closing date for this event sometime in Feb for exclusivity within the club's (TOC/LOC) and after that it will be opened to Toyota Clubs that help us with other things ;)
