Should i replace my normal key start with a nice red start button?

OK...i've found a way of doing this but it requires an additional button/switch.

The first button/swtich you would flick would make the contact to simulate turning the ignition on.

As long as i have disabled the immobiliser (from the remote) then a push of the start button will start the car.

Without the immobiliser disabled the car wont move thus i dont have to worry about someone braking a window and being able to start the car.

Anyway i've decided not to bother with this now as my insurance company wont insure me unless i use a key to start :thumbsup:

Get a clifford system and remote engine start - you can have so much fun with it plus gets the heaters going for the cold mornings - worth the money alone

i hope to get a remote alarm with remote ignition :)

You can get alarms with keyless fob entry now... which is why the button would be good, ad the imoboliser is in the fob... so you walk to your car (unlocks automatically, no buttons needed), get it.... press button...

All that without moving your hands into pockets...

i think they are pretty trick, may treat myself to one aswell one day

but i wouldnt mess around chopping out the ignition switch!
