are there any cam shaft upgrades available for the 4afe engine? if so what power gains are available?

There are a few available but be careful what you go for. All depends on what you're gonna be doing with the car at the end of the day.

those links all show cam kits for the 4age engine not the 4afe, modifying the 4afe is really hard after many hours researching the subject the simplest soulution is to do a whole engine swap for 4age (fairly simple) engine and modify from there as there is a whole wealth of information out there on these engines, or another option is to do a head swap on your 4afe for a 4age head but this will probably cause more headaches than just doing a straight swap. a little while ago one of the other members on here (MSC Kev) mentioned that he was talking to a company about some custom cams for his 4afe corolla but we never heard any more about it, i can only assume that nothing came of it probably due to the excessive R&D cost involved.
