Also I'm not sure whe it last had a change if it isn't a chain belt, It's done 55500 miles thus far, when will it be dooo???

To andybran,

Chain drive. If you require I can send you diagram for changing chain & associated parts ie: tensioner etc. Leave it with you.

Plastic chain

To mrdoody. The belt you can see is the ancillary(ribbed) drive belt for the water pump, alternator etc.

The cam is driven by chain, which is completely enclosed inside the engine and lasts the life of the engine without any periodic maintainance.

The ribbed belt is quite easily changed and is usually done when it shows signs of splitting/cracking etc.

If its a chain I wont bother changing it, Thanks! But do you have any info on how to change the ancillary drive belt?
