Problem With 2005 Navigation System

I just purchased a used 2005 Prius. This is my first Prius and I love driving it. However, the satellite navigation system is not working. When I press the Menu or Map buttons, the screen displays "Please insert the correct map disc" with some Japanese characters underneath. I checked the cables to the sat nav unit and they appear to be firmly plugged in. I also checked the disc in my PC and it is readable. Any ideas on what might be wrong or what other things I can try? Thanks.

My only suggestion is to take it to your local Toyota dealer this could be the quickest fix for you. I find the dealers I have dealt with very helpful. Hope you get it sorted. I agree the Prius is good to drive.
