Toyota Picnic Air Con Problem!

I have a problem with the Air Con on my 2000 Picnic, its been fully re-gassed so no problems with that side. When switched on the light on the switch stays on for 5-10 seconds then starts flashing, with no power to the air con unit. Any suggestions would be appriciated.& thanx

I have the same problem with my 97 model, having replaeced the pressure switch, checked out the electrics with Auto electrician, the only remaining item to test/replace is the Air Con amplifier which is costly around £120.00 so am seeking out a re-claimed unit. The Amp is located behind the passenger glove box fixed to the inner wing. hope this helps. Although you could just have a gas problem or the drive belts need tightening up, these are cheap options, hope you have some success. Meyerman
