97-99 Avensis Td Mpg

Hello

Just a quick question was thinking of buying a '99 Avensis TD the engine before the d-4d. I'm just trying to find out what these are like on juice, if anyone has run one, mpg figures etc.

i use an avensis td estate as a taxi and average over 40mpg all the time very good when you think of the driving style as a taxi mine is a 99 T also 4th gear acceleration is incredible i know of d4d flywheel probs and few other faults where on the older avensis just suspension bushes go every year as a taxi prob last lot longer in private use

Hi I've just bought an 118000 miler 1997 2.0 TD. In a mixture of stop go city driving and 60 mile motorway cruises at 75 mph this little beauty returns between 40 and 43mpg which is not bad for an old tech engine!
