Cruise Control Judder

Mentioned this a few months ago

cruise control on - 70 mph

over a brow of a hill - on a motorway, so slight downward angle

car will kick as if I dabbed my foot on the brakes

obviously it has to slow me down a little, but isnt very smooth at all

also

same can occur if I am very very gently touching the throttle, maybe on the flat on the motorway, or on a slight downward gradient

The car will judder, as if I pushed the throttle hard for a split second

anyone?

Sorry can't.

Use mine frequently and the only thing I notice is that when going up a hill in cruise is that it tends to kickdown a gear which it would not do if I was not in cruise if you know what I mean.

So on motorway when a steepish hill appears I flick off cruise otherwise I'm suddenly in third at 70 +.

Mine is manual, not auto.

Had a yaris verso auto for years, that was really smooth
