How did you get the gaiter to stay in place?

If you have any good ideas or links for weighted gear knobs, please let me know. I have been looking for one myself but it seems that they are very expensive. Plus, I do not know what is the proper weight to order?

Any info would be appreciated.

I put tape around the gear stick then put a cable tie round the gear stick and adjusted where i wanted it to sit then tightened the cable tie.

Thanks folks

Yep white wheels planned.

Engine cover, fog light covers, wing mirror covers, fuse box cover.

Not sure about the mud flaps, paint would chip off to easily tho kp would it?

Not if you go balls out with lacquer and a bit of stone guard mate. It'd really lift the theme, I think. The GTi Mud flaps stay in decent nick with normal paint so you should be fine ;)

Personally if you move up to doing Body parts like mirrors I would get them professionally sprayed, it's one of those things that can easily be messed up and look cack. Splitters and what have you seem to scrub up well but in my experience body panels need the extra cash and time.

I'm looking forward to seeing how she shapes up, as said jono had some great ideas and the white was an awesome colour. I know I am slightly biased to white anyway  but it is coooool B)

Hi! Can you please advise how did you spray the lip?

Is it just paint? Have you done it by using the TOYOTA spray canister? Have you also varnished it afterwards?

A short guide would be very much appreciated.

I rubbed down most of the scratches with some fine sandpaper ive got, then started spraying the splitter a thin layer at a time

i just sprayed the splitter with white spray paint then varnished it twice.

I have done about 100 miles since its been done.

Got to say im loving the noise the exhaust gives now its epic in tunnels.

I have noticed that the revs seem to pick up easier.

I got two boss's welded in the replace the lamda sensor probes, my EM has come on so im going to get an adator to bring the sensor out more, it doesnt affect the running of my car at all.

I think your pipe will crack/hole.

looking at it, your new pipe is 304 grade stainless steel, your base material is mild steel, I don't know what he has migged it with but I would guess it would be mild steel mig wire.

Nah its been tigged, or what ever you use to weld stainess steel.

If it does (which i dont think it will cos i know a few guys with the same idea) he says just bring it back he'll sort it.

But thanks for bringing tht up :-)
