Jimlad - Are y ou having issues cos your motor is so modded, or cos its an import???

I am with Diamond, not much help to you!!! ;)

Cn you not just get the cheapest polocy, do it on a monthly basis, and then when you get to the ripe old age of 25, cancel it, and get another one. :P Sounds like a plan to me.

good plan... get insured for 2 months ? ... mmm..

mainly having issues because I'm < 25 and because of all the mods. I think Liverpool Victioria quote was with no mods. It's not really what mods I have, but the quantity of them !

Maybe I just won't declare them. Is that a good idea? Obviously I can't phone up tesco again saying I have the same car but with no mods. Unless.... I just said I was just seeing how much it would cost ??

Still to hear back from Dorset, which I should do tomorrow. Hopefully a bit more sensible.

Not a good idea to keep quiet about mods cos if you have an accident,

your insurance would be void because you didnt declare everything.

Same goes if it was stolen.

I'll just have to bite the bullet with A.Flux then.

Will phone about tomorrow also. I have a huge list to go through. Hopefully dorset will come back all good.

What exactly are you declaring?? surely you only have to declare "performace" mods yeah?? and anything over and above you want covered from a cost sort of thing??

Cheers

basically everything listed in my garage section I have to declare.... lol

not good, but not much choice here in the UK.

Insurance in the UK is stupid !! It prevents you from having fun with your car !!!?!?!?

Big Turbo Kit ??........ = no one will probably insure you!

JimLad - probably no help to you - I found AXA to be cheapest (came as a real shock too!) - but then I am 25 and am driving an NA UK car with no mods....... actually dont know why I am posting this ;)

Hope you get it sorted the one thing I will say about AF is that on my Golf GTi they wanted £150 a year more that Herts - which was a bit of a cheek when you look at the fact they are both brokers and were both using Sterling Ins.........

actually I just had a good laugh with some young guy on the phone. Everytime he kept on asking if there were anymore mods I'd tell him something else. He started laughing.. lol

He even asked if it was a wind up... lol.

so far.... 37 companys and only 1 will insure me... lol

still got more to phone tho... insurance is rediculous! Alot are saying have to be over 25, others are saying no because of the mods.

I'm gonna try to get a traders policy... lol

here goes.

traders policy so I can drive any car upto the value of £16K is £2800 fully comp... lol.. that' with a company called crowthorne.

that's cheaper than Adrian Flux tpf&t !!

Think I'm gonna phone about to get some more traders policy quotes.
