2008 SR180 Diesel new EGR valve issue

Hi All, 

I have just had a non genuine EGR valve fitted to my auris as it flagged up a fault and kept going into limp mode. That issue has now been sorted and no faults are showing however it now bunny hops and jerks forward and back in low gears and also when cruise control is on. The idle also revs up and down a little bit. Please can someone advise on this if they have had a similar problem? Does the ECU need re programming or updating ? If so is it only a dealer that can do this and at roughly what cost .
