2004 rav4 no alarm siren after new fob programming

Hi all

here is my problem 

I got a new fob 2 button key from eBay 

managed to get the chip programmed to start the engine, also the fob to work the central locking.
very chuffed with myself 

but after this I locked the doors with the fob and unlocked with the key but no sound!

things tried so far

new Battery in the remote

tried both remotes

used the instructions from the TVSS IV-S settings and turned off and on different options to check other things work. Set the lock with ignition option to be sure, all good.

opened bonnet set alarm, disconnected Battery, siren works. I’m deaf now.

checked through the change settings instructions what last set the alarm off and it was the door.

but still no siren when I set the alarm and open the door with the key. 
 

any ideas would be appreciated
