Local Morrisons down again from 145.9p to 144.9p still no MSM on why the prices are dropping. Bit certainly not complaining just hope they keep tumbling.

They  operate demand-based pricing in Norway.  Ideal time to fill up your car is Sunday morning/afternoon.  By Monday morning the price will be maybe 10% higher, but will drop again later in the week.  Pretty normal there in my experience.

Hi Ken, Does demand based pricing happen all over Norway or is it just selected areas. Does everyone try to fill up on the weekends to save a few quid.?

I believe they do, though mostly I visit within a 30-mile radius of Oslo, and trips farther-afield are one-off so I can't compare.  I have two family members there are they always tell me to choose the right time to refuel my hire car.

Maybe we should all club together hire a tanker and send it over to Norway and fill it up on a weekend.  it's a pity they don't operate a system like that over here.

We went to the Dealer today to collect the Good Lady's Yaris after a service. On the way we passed a four of petrol stations within six miles. Prices varied from 159.9p per litre to 145.9 per litre. That's a huge difference for such a short distance.

I signed up to petrolprices.com, a useful app shows the prices within your search radius, and I also get twice-weekly emails with the lowest pertrol stations near my given locations.

If you want ripping off go to Great Gonerby on the A1.  Last night it was 169.9.

30p a litre higher than Peterborough and 23p higher than Shell less than 2 miles away but not on the highway.

You need to be desperate to fill up there.  BP 10 miles south is also 147.9.  We need to get them called out.

Hi Shane,well done for your table on petrol prices, It certainly is interesting to see how prices have changed over this period of time. 

I'm not sure if looking at the price changes over here in a table would be a good thing or depress us all.

Mojo, These prices are definitely continuing to drop but still no MSM reporting on the reason. The question of why when nothing appears to have changed other then a reduction in the barrels of oil being produced by Saudi Arabia. But this was done to prop up the prices which should of pushed them up, but it doesn't make sense as to why they have dropped.

This is a good for us motorists but let's hope they continue to go down and not start to rise in the new year.

My local Jet Station (Mexborough, South Yorkshire), put JET ULTRA (their E5). down again to 155.9 couple of days ago. It peaked at 168.9 earlier this year.
