I think this series of Doctor Who will end up getting repeated ad infinitum on BBC3, they seem to do that with Little Britain, 2PL&PC, etc. etc.

Does anyone remember the original Autons? They seemed a lot scarier (I remember being really frightened going into department stores with my mum as a kid because I was always expecting the dummies to come alive!!).

One thing that used to bother me as a kid watching the Pertwee/Baker shows was the use of scary music (lots of menacing synth noises and sound effects) - much better than the cheapy midi stuff they use in the new series.

We've gone from who saw Doctor Who, ( I didn't, cos didn't know it was on) to sexy FEMALE assistants, to dashing MALE assistants, to the price of a can of beans!!

Dragging this tread back on topic, news report this morning..."New Dr Who Actor Christopher Eccleston is quitting Doctor Who after just one series and the BBC is already in talks with another actor" ;)

I know they have commissioned a second series already and all it said was that Christopher Eccleston & Billie Piper are "welcome to return" for series 2 but nothings been decided yet.....

How are they going to explain all these regenerations?

I thought time lords could only regenerate 10 or 11 times or so.

Isn't that why The Master has to kill people and steal their bodies?
